Santosha...

Santosha - the sanskrit word for contentment - reflects our firm belief that we have all we need inside to live a happy, fulfilled life. Our retreats, whether our adventures take us inward or outward, help you to unearth that joyful capacity deep within you and learn to excavate it in any circumstance. Take a break, give yourself some space, breathe deep, move freely and explore with us!

Deepening the exporation of bliss...

Take this breath into your practice....
Employ Ujjayi (gently constricting the back of your throat to create sound as you breathe) throughout the movement of this breath....
As you inhale, fill from the bottom of your lungs upward while relaxing your pelvic floor and belly.
Pause at the top.
As you exhale, lift your pelvic floor (public bone and tail toward one another, SITZ bones toward one another).
Pause at the bottom, lungs empty, pelvic floor still lifted.
Begin again.

As you move through asana, create an enveolpe of breath around each movement - starting the breath, then the movement, ending the movement, then ending the breath.

Let this draw you inward.  Observe yourself. Is it always blissful?   Are there moments that feel blissful? Can you observe a pattern in the movement of blisss?

Now, let go of the breath and sit in meditation.  Observe yourself.  Does your meditation always feel blissful?  Are there moments that feel blissful?  Can you observe a pattern in the movement of bliss?

Accept whatever you find, moving beyond ego, beyond throught, beyond emotion to meet whatever is waiting for you there...
